Qualifications:
- Valid Tennessee Dept. of Education Teacher License with endorsement in Administration and Supervision.
- Master's Degree in Education Administration and Supervision
- At least five years of teaching experience

All personnel working at the school assigned

Performance Responsibilities:
- Establishes and maintains an effective learning climate in the school.
- Supervises planning, organization and implementation of all school activities.
- Keeps the Director and immediate supervisor informed of the school's activities and problems.
- Prepares and submits the school's budgetary requests, and monitors expenditures of internal and external school funds.
- Supervises the maintenance of all required building records and reports.
- Works with various members of the Central Administrative Staff on the school issues, such as transportation, special services, and the like.
- Assumes responsibility for the implementation and observance of all Board policies and regulations by the school's staff and students.
- Maintains active relationships with students and parents.
- Leads in the development, determination of appropriateness, and monitoring of the instructional program.
- Schedules classes within established guidelines to meet student needs.
- Supervises the guidance program to enhance individual student education and development.
- Attends special school events held to recognize student achievement, schools sponsored activities, functions, and athletic events.
- Assumes responsibility for the attendance, conduct and safety of all students.
- Keeps abreast of changes and developments in the profession by attending professional meetings, reading professional journals and other publications, and discussing problems of mutual interest with others in the field.
- Supervises all professional, paraprofessional, administrative, and non-professional personnel attached to the school.
- Participates in the selection and supervision of all school building personnel.
- Approves the master teaching schedule and any special assignments.
- Evaluates and counsels all staff members regarding their individual and group performance.
- Conducts meetings of the staff as necessary for the proper functioning of the school.
- Assists in the in-service orientation and training of teachers, with special responsibility for staff administrative procedures and instructions.
- Supervises the daily use of the school facilities for both academic and non-academic purposes.
- Provides adequate inventories of property under his/her jurisdiction and for the security and accountability for that property.
- Participates in principals meetings, parent/teacher conferences and other meetings. (as are required or appropriate)
- Assumes responsibility for all official school correspondences, news releases, and public relations.
- Responsible for completing any and all additional tasks and duties assigned by the Director of Schools.
